UCLA Optimism

Optimism is more than a sunny disposition.

UCLA is synonymous with Optimism. But to them, it’s about so much more than positivity. It’s about resilience, drive, and hope for a better tomorrow.

Unscripted interviews with UCLA luminaries specializing in everything from singing opera to inventing robots to deconstructing tacos and operating on the human brain gave diverse perspectives on optimism through the lens of their life and work. The resulting spot redefines what optimism can do.

The Optimism microsite is where the stories of every person featured in the campaign are told, bringing together impactful individuals from over UCLA’s 100-year history.

Tactics in this campaign ranged from traditional bus wraps and billboards to pens and print ads. Regardless of the medium, bold, inspiring statements captured the spirit of optimism.
